Location & Accessibility

Excellent accessibility

At the western gate to Innsbruck

Rufi's Hotel & Serviced Apartments are situated at the western end of Innsbruck and offer all guests, be they businessmen and women, commercial travellers, couples or families, excellent accessibility by car or via public transport.

Rufi's is just 7 minutes (2.8 kilometres) from Innsbruck airport. The Innsbruck West motorway exit is only 1 kilometre away and can be reached in 3 minutes. The ‘R’ bus route regularly serves the route between Innsbruck’s main railway station and Rufi's Hotel.

Important businesses and organisations in the area

Innsbruck University, the Tyrolean clinics, the university clinic, the Western Educa2on Centre for Health Professions (AZW), the Centre for Chemistry and Organic Medicine (CCB) and the WIFI Tyrol Educa2on Centre are all in the immediate vicinity of Rufi's Hotel & Serviced Apartments. Several car makers also have bases nearby, including Porsche, VW, Audi, Nissan and Peugeot, as do a variety of manufacturing businesses like Spechtenhauser (furniture and windows), Stocker (fireplaces) and Philipp Ebenbichler OG, and it’s only a short walk to the ‘West’ shopping centre.

A wonderful location

At the heart of the Alps

Innsbruck is a city in the heart of Europe – and the Alps. It’s surrounded by the mountain peaks of the Northern Range, Axamer Lizum and Patscherkofel. The tall and broad windows around Rufi's Hotel ensure the omnipresence of mountain scenery. Only a hike in the countryside can provide closer contact with this Tyrolean alpine environment.

Rufi's Hotel is located in a verdant area close to the centre of town. Downtown Innsbruck can be reached by walking or cycling along the Inn promenade in just a few minutes. Tours around the city of Innsbruck reveal its many faces – some historical and traditional, others urban and innovative. It’s a constant source of fascination!

Great places to visit in Innsbruck

There’s a whole A-Z to explore in Innsbruck – from the armoury to the ‘Alpenzoo’. Magnificent buildings of historical importance – such as Innsbruck’s imperial ‘Hoyurg’ palace, Hozirche court church, the town tower – are complemented by the modern architecture of the Bergisel ski jumping hills and ramps, and the Hungerburg funicular.

Innsbruck reveals the proximity and affinity of culture, in venues such as the Innsbruck Landestheater and Tyrolean museums of local history; and nature, among the peaks of the Northern Range or out at the ‘Alpenzoo’. The famous Golden Roof and the old town of Innsbruck are another two unmissable places to see – just a 15-minute walk away!
